Meet Narcisa Pheres: Founder of Pheres Jewellery
Designer to the stars, Narcisa Pheres is the Creative Director and founder of PHERES, Italian luxury brand.
Boasting clients including Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Gal Gadot and Rita Ora, she is now a familiar name on the global stage.
Travelling between her base in Hong Kong to Tokyo, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and New York, Narcisa continues to build a successful luxury empire and inspiring the young generation.
Born in Romania, she studied fashion design at Instituto di Moda Burgo in Milan and fashion marketing at Central St Martins, London before getting her GIA jewellery design certification at Carlsbad, USA. She is also now a GIA certified diamond expert.
At the Met Gala in 2018, Madonna and Rihanna showcased the jaw-dropping designs which continue to inspire, themed ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.’ In 2019, it was Rita Ora and Joe Jonas who showcased her Met Gala outing
Globally recognised, she has been honoured by Forbes Romania as “the most influential woman in business outside the country”. Her one-of-a-kind designs are seen at the Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammy, and Met Gala.
In 2018 she was appointed the official jewellery supplier to Her Highness Princess Olga Romanoff.
A pioneer for women’s rights, the entrepreneur and activist gives talks around the globe sharing knowledge on branding, international business, and disrupting the markets in times of change.
In 2018, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong nominated Narcisa for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and Gafencu magazine acknowledged her as part of their ‘300 Most Powerful People in Hong Kong’ for three consecutive years.
Sharing her knowledge with the future generation, she has participated in several programmes at leading universities as a bid to boost the industry’s rising stars. She took part in the GIA Symposium with Harvard Business School’s Global Leadership programme, sharing her insights about the future of the luxury goods industry.
Most recently, she completed the course on ‘Leading Change in Time of Disruption’ from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), adding to her own continuous process of learning. She is now eager to share this knowledge with corporations and organisations that are ready to implement change.
